My Nutrition Story
How I became a nutritional therapist
My grandad would grow vegetables in his garden and take me with him to garden centres when I was a child. This is perhaps where I first truly understood where my food was coming from. I was always an animal lover and this led me to decide to stop eating meat at a very young age.
Being one of the only vegetarians in my school led to a lot of conversations and questions about it. Most of the time it was of course rather childish, with questions such as "what if it's just you and a pig on an island, would you eat it?". However, there were also many questions about the nutritional aspects.
Being the only person on my side of the debate meant I conducted a lot of research into diet and nutrition, perhaps far more than I would have done otherwise. It led me to question my choices and reassess my beliefs on multiple occasions, and I continue my research to this day.
I examine humanity's history and biology, including modern studies using technological advancements, to come to my conclusions. I also draw from a great many knowledgeable people, such as Sally Fallon (Nourishing Traditions), Sandor Katz (The Art of Fermentation), and Dr. Abramowski (Fruit Cured Me!).
